Amen! Death to the short sleeve button-up shirt!

A short sleeve button up (or down) can look good if it has the right fit. I don’t personally own any, but it can work. I’m referring more to sleeveless shirts like tank tops and cut-offs. Seems like a no-brainer, but so does not wearing dress shoes to the gym…and I just saw that (again) the other day.

      Hello,

I have just discovered this blog and think it’s great. Thanks!

Though I don’t live anywhere near NY city, it is nice to live vicariously through you. Here in Ottawa (Canada’s capital) we don’t even have an H&M…

Here, style takes a back seat to bureaucracy and men’s fashion is pretty much non-existent. So thanks for providing a glimpse of what could be…

As for the short sleeve button up, I would agree that if done properly can work. My girlfriend picked me up a light grey linen one from UNIQLO (NY location, as there aren’t any in Canada) this summer and I wear it constantly. I think the key is to roll the sleeves up just slightly to give it a little more of an edge.

      What do you think?

AKT- Yes, the sleeve roll is a nice tactic…very James Dean. When it comes to a short sleeve button down you just want to make sure that the sleeves are a nice snug fit, too much room and you look like a High School physics teacher.

There must be a few nice men’s shops in the Ottawa area…Don Cherry gets those suits somewhere, right?
